Aaron Carter And Melanie Martin Welcome Their First Baby
Aaron Carter has officially welcomed his first baby with fiancée Melanie Martin. Sharing the news on Instagram, Carter said that their son Prince arrived after Martin underwent an emergency C-section following 13 hours of intense labor.
In his announcement Monday, the “I Want Candy” singer revealed that his fiancée is in great health after the surgery. “Emergency C Section after 13 hours of labor but my fiancé is in great health thank you lord and the incredibly sweet loving staff here,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself cutting their baby’s umbilical cord.
“Prince is precious I love you son. Your mommy loves you as I drop tears on the phone. This is me cutting his umbilical cord my precious family #TheCarters @missmelaniemartin I’m so proud of you hunny you did it I love you with all my heart my beautiful blessings from God,” he continued.
Before he posted the photo, Carter had shared on his Instagram Stories clips from the birthing suite to keep his fans updated with the baby’s progress.
The couple’s baby comes more than a year after they announced in June 2020 that Martin suffered a miscarriage two months after they broke their pregnancy news in April. “She suffered a miscarriage due to stress conditions,” Carter said during a YouTube livestream at the time.
“We’re gonna give it some time, let her heal and then we’re going to try again. We both want that. I gotta take care of her,” he added.
Last April, Martin took to Instagram to share a snap of a sonogram, suggesting that they were expecting once again.
In an interview with People in April 2020, Carter expressed how excited he was to become a father. “This is what we both want,” he said, adding: “We both were trying for it. I’m just focused on the future and being a dad. I want to be a good dad. I’m focused, my music career has been doing really well, and touring, having my clothing line out, all that stuff I have going for me that isn’t necessarily just music. Family is most important to me.”
