Aaron Carter Reveals Chloe Grace Moretz Did Not Respond To Date Invitation
Aaron Carter is still single after his split from Madison Parker.
Over a week ago, the “Sooner or Later” crooner asked Chloe Grace Moretz on a date after she admitted to having a childhood crush on him. Carter sent his invitation over Twitter. “Hey @ChloeGMoretz – let’s set up a date. The crush is mutual,” Nick Carter’s younger brother wrote.
But it looks like Moretz’s crush on the singer may have already waned. On Saturday, Carter admitted that he has not yet received any response from Moretz regarding his invitation. However, he clarified that he does not mind at all. “No, [she hasn’t responded], and that’s OK,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “She doesn’t know me, and like she said, maybe we’ll meet one day. I think I was being a little too flirtatious on Twitter.”
The singer also revealed that he also used to have a crush on Moretz, but did not act on it because he believed she was too young. “I think she’s beautiful,” Carter added. “I actually had a crush on her before she even knew it. I just thought she was too young for me. Which, there was a time when she was too young; I’m going to be 30 this year.”
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Carter confessed via social media that he is a bisexual and recalled how he discovered that he was also attracted to men. “When I was around 13-years-old I started to find boys and girls attractive,” he wrote on Twitter. “There were years that went by that I thought about it, but it wasn’t until I was 17-years old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with and grew up with.”
After the “I’m All About You” singer’s coming out, he broke up with Parker. Many believed that him being bisexual was a factor in their split, and it may have actually played a big role. Carter confessed that she broke up with him after his admission.
“When I revealed my truth to her, she left me. She didn’t accept what I was going to say, and she left me. No, I’m just trying to do what I have to do,” Carter told Elvis Duran on “The Z100 Morning Show.”
However, Parker denied Carter’s claims that his bisexuality was the reason why she broke up with him. According to her, their split was imminent and they both knew it. “My split with Aaron has nothing to do with him being bisexual. Our parting of ways is something that has been coming for some time and it’s the best thing for us both,” Parker told E! News. “Some of my closest friends and loved ones are of the LGBTQ community, people I love and support wholeheartedly, so for Out.com or anyone to label me ‘homophobic’ is appalling and hurtful and couldn’t be more off character.”
