Aaron Carter Shows Off Weight Gain Weeks After Entering Rehab
Aaron Carter has been in rehab for two weeks and already he’s gained 30 pounds.
The singer checked himself into a facility on Sept. 22 to improve his self. On his Twitter account, Carter posted a side by side topless photo of himself. On the left photo, Carter weighed only 115 pounds, which meant that he was underweight. On the right snap, he weighed 145 pounds. In his caption, Carter said that he will continue to focus on improving his health. He also expressed how proud he is of himself.
In a series of other photos, Carter is also seen holding and grilling meat as part of his healthier lifestyle. In July, Carter opened up to Entertainment Tonight about his eating disorder and explained that it was the reason why he couldn’t gain weight.
“I have a stress condition of an 80-year-old man. I am also lactose intolerant,” he said. Carter also told the publication that he suffers from hiatal hernia, a condition wherein a part of his stomach pushes up through the diaphragm muscle. After he was diagnosed with the condition when he was 19, Carter lost approximately 20 pounds.
During his emotional interview, Carter admitted that he also has a hard time looking at himself in the mirror. “Oh, my God. It hurts so badly. It hurts so badly because there’s like nothing I can do about it,” he said.
One of the things that he could do to help alleviate his condition is to avoid stress. This made Carter ultimately decide to deactivate all of his social media accounts following his DUI arrest on the same month. “How would you feel every two seconds, seeing a tweet, ‘You have AIDS. Go die. Oh, look at this meth head. Oh, meth kills. Crack kills.’ It’s body shaming and it’s the toughest thing to deal with,” he said.
But Carter clarified that he isn’t a meth head. “I have never touched it in my life,” he said. Following his DUI arrest, reports swirled that Carter was high on drugs and alcohol at that time. It was also revealed that he had marijuana and other drug-related paraphernalia in his car.
