Aaron Carter, after several recent controversies, has decided to take a break from his social media profiles, particularly Twitter. Preceding this, Carter has been involved in legal battles with his siblings, including recent restraining orders set from Nick and Angel Carter.

On Monday, Nov. 25, Carter took to Twitter to announced that he will be taking a break from social media in light of recent events and to focus on himself.

The singer, whose birthday is coming up on Dec. 7, stated, "There’s been a lot of stressors building up and I’m going to be 32 soon."

This all came to a boiling point, as many people, along with CNN, have noted what appears to be an alarming mental decline on his Twitter feed.

"This is my reality," Carter said in an interview with “The Doctors,” talking about the many medications he has to take. According to Carter, he suffers from anxiety, depression, multiple personality disorder, and schizophrenia.

Carter also recently alleged on his Twitter that his siblings, particularly his sister Leslie, had sexually abused him growing up. He cited her bipolar disorder and her avoidance of proper medication were to blame for her alleged actions.

Following this, Nick posted a message to Twitter, stating that he and his sister have officially filed a restraining order against him, citing those various mental health issues.

Despite taking a break from social media, Carter made an Instagram live video where he showed fans samples of his upcoming songs, according to Entertainment Tonight. He also discussed potentially moving away from California and starting a jewelry line.
