Aaron Carter's Fiancée Melanie Martin Posts Heartbreaking Christmas Message For Late Singer

Aaron Carter was dearly missed by his family on Christmas.

On Sunday, the late singer's fiancée, Melanie Martin, paid tribute to him via Instagram. The 30-year-old bartender shared a video showing their Christmas tree and the food they prepared for their holiday brunch.

At one point in the clip, Martin focused the camera on a tree ornament of two angel wings in the shape of a heart. In the middle of it was Aaron's name. She also captured some scenes featuring their 13-month-old son, Prince Lyric.

In the caption, Martin poured her heart out in expressing how much they loved Carter, who was found dead at his California home on Nov. 5, and how the '90s teen icon would remain in their hearts.

"We can no longer see you with our eyes, but we can feel you in our hearts forever. [L]ove, your mini me and hunni," she wrote.

The post was quickly met with a flurry of positive messages from their fans and followers. Some pointed out Prince's resemblance to his late dad.

"He is always with you and Prince. Merry Christmas, Mel," one wrote.

"Prince resembles Aaron so much, like a part of him still loves on," another commented.

"Praying for [you], and Prince looks just like Aaron. Merry Christmas, Melanie," a different user stated.

Martin's update came a little more than a week after she was granted full custody of their son by a court. The couple previously lost custody of their child due to concerns about drug use and domestic violence.

"I am excited about getting custody of our son. Aaron took it really hard when our son got taken away," Martin said at the time.

"I know [he] would have been ecstatic. This victory is in his honor. I only wish Aaron could be here to share this moment with me," she added.

The "I Want Candy" singer and Martin started dating in early 2020. They announced their engagement in June of that year, but their relationship was on and off the months after.

Aaron's mom Jane also reacted to the judge's decision, saying she was happy because "the child should be with the mother."

It was not clear if Carter and Martin were together at the time of his passing in November at the age of 34, People reported.
