Aaron Rodgers Contract: Salary For 2022, 2023, 2024 Revealed
Aaron Rodgers’ contract with the Green Bay Packers is unlike any other in NFL history. The quarterback is staying with the only franchise he’s ever known for a record deal that will make him the league’s highest-paid player.
Rodgers’ new contract includes a $42 million salary in 2022 and a massive $59.515 million salary in 2023, NFL Network reports. Rodgers is due to make a $49.3 million salary in 2024, completing the $150.815 million deal.
With an average yearly salary north of $50 million, Rodgers’ contract blows away the previous record. Patrick Mahomes’ 10-year, $450 million deal had been the high mark with a $45 million average annual value.
One more note on Aaron Rodgers' contract: Using large option bonuses in 2023 ($58.3 million) and 2024 ($47 million) allows the #Packers to stash his cap numbers in future years when the salary cap should spike.

The tradeoff for cap savings now: If Aaron Rodgers retires or the #Packers move on after the 2023 season, they would have a $68.205 million dead cap hit on the books in 2024. https://t.co/su8MOA6evy

On his previous deal, Rodgers had made an average salary of $33.5 million.
Last week, Rodgers denied reports that he was signing a four-year, $200 million contract, indicating that he would sign a cap-friendly deal for the Packers. The contract saves Green Bay about $18 million on the 2022 salary cap, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The Packers’ cap will suffer in future seasons.
Green Bay prevented Davante Adams from becoming a free agent by using the franchise tag on the receiver. Adams has reportedly said he won’t play on the tag in 2022. The Packers and Rodgers’ top target have until July 15 to agree on a long-term contract.
Aaron Rodgers’ new deal includes a guaranteed base salary of $59.465 million in 2023. Obviously if he wants to keep playing, that will have to be converted into signing bonus. The size of those numbers means the Packers and Rodgers will keep going year-to-year.

In 17 NFL seasons, Rodgers has earned $263.6 million from the Packers. The 38-year-old has made 10 Pro Bowls and won four NFL MVP awards. Rodgers led Green Bay to a Super Bowl championship in the 2010 season.
Rodgers has won back-to-back MVP awards and led Green Bay to three straight 13-win seasons.
