A bad year just got worse for Aaron Rodgers on Sunday, as the Green Bay Packers star left for the locker room in the first half at Lambeau Field against the Detriot Lions. Rodgers left the game with 10:36 remaining in the second quarter to be evaluated for a concussion, according to reports.

Rodgers had been sacked in the first quarter and lost his helmet. The 35-year-old left the game after completing three passes for 26 yards.

Rodgers entered the Week 17 game dealing with lingering left knee and groin injuries.

Backup DeShone Kizer stepped in to replace Rodgers. Kizer completed five of his 12 pass attempts for 44 yards in the first half.

The Lions lead the Packers at halftime, 21-0.

The Packers had already failed to clinch a playoff berth entering Sunday's finale. There had been talk that Green Bay would consider sitting Rodgers to end the season.
