Aaron Rodgers, Shailene Woodley Photographed Boarding Private Jet Ahead Of Wedding

Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley were spotted together for the first time in public since they confirmed their engagement.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback, 37, and the Hollywood actress, 29, were photographed by the paparazzi as they were catching a flight in Mexico early this week. Rodgers and Woodley’s sighting comes a month after the NFL star announced their engagement.

In the snaps obtained by TMZ, the couple could be seen walking on the tarmac in Costa Careyes as they were making their way to a private jet. Eyewitnesses said they were accompanied by some of their friends.

In the snaps, the “Divergent” star could be seen rocking an oversized sweater, leggings and a pair of high top Converse shoes. She had a backpack and also carried a tote bag. Woodley also brought along a water bottle, and she had a face mask on for protection amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As for Rodgers, he sported a white sweatshirt, a pair of camouflage pants, and brown and white sneakers. He was also carrying a backpack and two water bottles. Since it was very sunny, the athlete opted to put on a baseball cap. He didn’t seem to wear a mask based on the photos.

It wasn’t clear when exactly Rodgers and Woodley arrived in Mexico and what they did there. Sources speculated that they might have celebrated their engagement there with their pals. It’s also not clear if they took the private jet to head home or to continue their vacation somewhere else.

Us Weekly broke the news last month that the two were indeed dating after romance rumors started swirling online ever since they were spotted together by sports gossip blog Terez Owens in July 2020. At the time, a source told the media outlet that they started off as friends before things “turned romantic.”

In the same month, Rodgers proudly announced that he secretly got engaged but didn’t name his fiancée during his NFL Honors acceptance speech. Multiple media outlets then reported that the woman could be Woodley.

The reports prompted the “Big Little Lies” star to finally confirm their engagement during her guesting on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show.” She said that she never thought she’d get engaged to someone “who threw balls for a living.”

Rodgers and Woodley did not divulge their wedding plans, and they haven’t given a wedding date as well. Interestingly, the Knot predicts that the low-key pair could elope, secretly walk the aisle and keep their wedding hush-hush for some time.
