- The Packers' passing game is struggling after the departure of Davante Adams
- The Packers are looking to avoid another loss against the Jets
The Green Bay Packers sustained a shocking loss to the New York Giants on Sunday, October 9–something considered to be the biggest upset of the 2022 NFL season.
Regardless, the setback is not considered alarming according to cornerback Jaire Alexander.
"I ain't worried," Alexander originally said in a report by ESPN. "But if we lose next week, then I'll be worried. But [this week was] a new situation for everybody. New circumstances, sleep patterns. It's a whole adjustment here in London."
At a glance, it appears that the comments made by the Pro Bowler may be portrayed as maintaining self-confidence, especially as far as the chances or outlook of the Packers.
But as far as Aaron Rodgers is concerned, he feels that all the talk about potentially losing in their next game is uncalled for.
Hence, he prefers that Alexander and his other teammates be careful with their remarks since he is a firm believer in the power of words.
"Frankly, I don't like all this conversation about losing next week. I'm a firm believer in the power of words and manifestation. And we've got to check ourselves on that, because talking about that is not 'winning football.' There was conversation about it in the locker room, and I don't like it. Ja's my guy, but we don't need to be talking like that," the 38-year-old veteran quarterback stated via CBS Sports.
Rodgers is no stranger when it comes to calling out his teammates.
Before the remarks of Alexander, the Super Bowl champion quarterback gave the young wide receivers of Green Bay criticism, eventually stressing how the bar is set high for the Packers receiving corps.
The reigning NFL MVP is expected to pay closer attention to that to make sure that the passing offense of the Packers can stay afloat.
The task of doing so will not be easy, especially following the exit of Davante Adams who is now with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Green Bay will try to get back on the winning track in the NFC North next week when they face the New York Jets.
The Jets are coming off a win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.
At the same time, the chief rival of the Packers, the Minnesota Vikings, defeated the Chicago Bears to take the division's top spot.
