A 16-year-old Indian girl abducted on her way to class has been rescued after she texted the GPS location to her family.
The teen was walking to a class on Friday evening when she noticed a white vehicle without a number plate following her. Her suspicion came true when the car stopped in front of her. A few men dragged her inside the car and injected her with drugs. They drove her to another part of the city after she fell unconscious.
After regaining her senses, the girl used WhatsApp to send her mother the GPS location of the house where she was being held hostage. She then called her mother and told her about the alleged kidnapping, the Jagaran reported.
The girl's family, relatives and police tracked her location down. Officers responding to the scene safely rescued the teen. Four suspects including two minors fled the scene but police were able to apprehend them shortly after.
According to the girl’s mother, the teen had been in contact with a boy on Instagram. The boy had asked the teen to meet him but she refused.
Eventually, the boy, accompanied by two other teenage girls, came to meet the victim at her house. The teens stayed at the house for some time before leaving. Later, police also arrested the two girls and the boy, identified as Saurabh Sharma.
"The detained girls will be questioned after recording their statements on Monday," officer Santosh Kumar Singh said, according to The Times of India.
The girl told the police that the suspects wanted to sell her, according to Jagaran. Police registered a complaint against the accused after recording the victim’s statement.

The girl was in a Toyota Camry with her alleged kidnapper when a passing motorist noticed her making the "violence at home - I need help - domestic violence" hand signal and called 911. The girl was reported missing two days before the rescue.
