Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. pleaded guilty on Wednesday to forcibly touching a woman at a New York nightclub in 2018 to resolve his overall case.

Gooding told the judge he "kissed the waitress on her lips" without consent at the LAVO New York nightclub. Although he had denied the charges until now, he now has a misdemeanor on his record for forcible touching.

The guilty plea comes three years after Gooding was arrested and charged after a 29-year-old woman said that he groped her breasts at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in Times Square.

Gooding only pleaded guilty to the one charge. Two others leveled against him involve the incident at Magic Hour, as well as one that alleges he pinched a server's butt after making a sexually suggestive remark at TAO downtown in 2018.

He admitted to “non-consensual contact” for the two other incidents.

The case could see the actor avoid jail time and enter a guilty plea for a lesser charge of harassment if he can continue the alcohol and behavior modification treatments he started in 2019 for an additional six months.

Gooding's initial defense claimed that he was being harshly charged due to the feelings of the post #MeToo era.
