John Quade who appeared as the villian in several Clint Eastwood films has died at 71 after a carreer that spanned more than twenty-five-years.

Quade died in his sleep of natural causes Sunday at his home in Rosamond, California according to his wife, Gwen Saunders.

Quade appeared in dozens of movie and TV roles including Every Which Way But Loose and its sequel Any Which Way You Can, where he played as the motorcycle gang leader. He also played Sheriff Biggs in the TV miniseries Roots.

Quade is survived by his wife, six children and 10 grandchildren.
