Adam Driver has opened up about the importance of the sex scene between him and his co-star Lady Gaga, who played Patrizia Reggiani, in "House of Gucci" and the chemistry between them in the highly anticipated movie.

The 37-year-old actor noted that Reggiani’s character used "sex as a tool to get what she wants in life."

"[Reggiani] very much uses sex as a tool, and I feel like it kind of physically embodies what’s going on between them," Driver told EW on Tuesday.

The actor further explained his own character named Maurizio Gucci – who played Reggiani’s lover. "He comes from this not necessarily emotionally vapid," he told the outlet. "But [his life is] not as passionate, and that’s what she brought."

Driver also explained how they dealt with the behind-the-scenes awkwardness before filming the sex scene.

"We blocked it out as we would any fight or any scene, then we just kind of ran it maybe once or twice, and that was it!" he noted. "We were feeling it, so to speak! Everything I say sounds like a double entendre, but we winged it."

The actor also explained that the sex scene was shot after filming together for a month, which helped them to get comfortable with each other.

"I will say also, at that point, we had been shooting for a month, so we felt very comfortable to go where we needed to go," he said.

Lady Gaga has been making headlines for using a "perfect Italian accent." However, Italian actress and dialogue coach Francesca De Martini, who was present on the sets noted that Gaga's accent wasn't exactly Italian.

"House of Gucci" is slated to release in theaters on Nov. 24.

Besides "House of Gucci," Driver was last seen in a star-studded movie, "The Last Duel," featuring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jodie Comer and Caoimhe O'Malley.

Driver will also feature in an action-packed sci-fi thriller movie, which is directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The movie also stars Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. It is slated to release on April 29, 2022.

He will also feature in a drama movie, "White Noise," which is based on Don DeLillo's novel of the same name. The movie also stars Don Cheadle, Greta Gerwig, Raffey Cassidy and Jodie Turner-Smith.
