Adele Says She's Not Really Taking 5 Years Off From Music
Adele is not really taking 5 years off from music, despite reports that emerged Tuesday in UK's The Sun newspaper and other news outlets.
The reports are erroneous, though they continue to spread via social media.
The Sun reported on Tuesday that I am f---ing off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail, but a blog posting Adele wrote on Tuesday indicates that the remarks were taken out of context.
I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio, reads her blog post. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!
Adele, who picked up six golden gramaphone trophies at the 2012 Grammy Awards Sunday night, sweeping all the categories in which she was nominated, is riding high.
The 23-year-old Brit is also doing well in her personal life, as she has been dating her current boyfriend, 36-year-old entrepreneur Simon Konecki, since last summer.
The Rolling In The Deep singer, whose unconventional beauty and throaty vocals rocketed her to super-stardom over the past year, was in the news shortly after the Grammys when the U.S. edition of Vogue magazine announced she will be its March cover girl and released a stunning series of photos from her Vogue shoot, as well as a lengthy feature article called Adele: One and Only, that will be printed in next month's edition of the popular periodical.
The singer, who said she is a good girlfriend, reportedly told Vogue that she is attentive and that I will do anything for my man. I am a good cook. I'm funny. Always want to have sex--well, most girls don't!
But The Sun also reported that Adele has confessed that she does have dramatic tendencies that can cause problems:
I love a bit of drama. That's a bad thing, she said, adding I can flip really quickly. I go from, 'Oh my God, I love you' to, 'Get the f--- out of my house!' really quickly. And I never sit there and talk about it. I give them the silent treatment.
Either way, she may not have that much time for romance in coming months, as she works on the follow-up to her smash hit second album 21.
