Adele’s Estranged Father Devastated After Singer’s ‘I Will Spit in His Face’ Comment

British singer Adele's estranged father has said that he is devastated after the pop star told Vogue US that If I ever see him I will spit in his face.

The 23-year-old singer told Vogue that he didn't want any relationship with her father, Mark Evans, after he sold a story to 'The Sun' last year.

Adele's father split from her mother Penny Adkins when she was just three years old. Adele said that she hadn't had any relationship with her father over the last decade.

Last year in March, Evans, a 48-year-old Welsh plumber, sold his side of the story about Adele to the British tabloid. The story left Adele very angry and she is so adamant that any chance of a reunion has now been dashed for good.

I was actually ready to start trying to have a relationship with him. He's f*cking blown it. He will never hear from me again. Because there is nothing that would upset me more than my dad being bribed by the press. It's like; just let them run it, then. Don't you give them ammunition, she said.

It makes me angry! To come back after ten years and be like, 'Maybe her problem with men comes down to me'. It's like, 'F*ck off! How dare you comment on my life?' It makes my blood boil, she added.

There's consequences other than just getting a bit of f**king money that lasts you half a year. It blows my mind. 'I love her so much.' Really? Why are you telling me that through a newspaper? If I ever see him I will spit in his face.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Evans said that he was surprised by Adele's comment about him.

''I can't believe she said that [that she would never see him again]. It's devastating. I don't know where it's come from. What's done is done. I can't turn the clock back. I know I was a rotten father, but, in the end, she's made it. She deserves all the happiness and success in the world, Evan told the Daily Mail.

He said he last spoke to Adele when he phoned to wish her a happy Christmas. I called to tell her I was thinking of her, but it was a very brief call. She was very busy, but everything seemed OK between us.
