Adobe Photoshop For iPad To Be Updated With New Features
Adobe has announced that it will update Photoshop for iPad so that it will have more features that will meet user demands.
Adobe released the first version of Photoshop for iPad earlier this month but it was met with complaints from users who tried it. The app has received a total 816 ratings on the App Store as of writing time, majority of which are 1-star ratings. It now has a 2-star rating overall.
In response to user feedback, Adobe has promised to release updates that will improve the app's overall performance and add features to the otherwise “inferior” photo editing app. In a blog, the Photoshop maker said future updates will add the following features before the year ends.
Select Subject
Select Subject makes select subjects from images very quickly and easily. It uses Adobe's Sensei AI machine learning technology to speed up complex selections. The Photoshop maker proudly claims that no other photo editing software on the iPad has this kind of “powerful yet easy to use selection capability.”
Cloud documents
The new cloud documents system, which will arrive at a later date, will automatically save documents on the cloud so that users can continue the work they started on an iPad on a desktop, and back. The feature will only save incremental changes made to the Photoshop document, so that it can save documents faster. Only changes to documents will be synced to the cloud, not the whole document.
Adobe also promised more features that will come within the first half of 2020. Here's a quick look at some of them.
Refine Edge
Photoshop for iPad will have the Refine Edge brush, which is one of the most important selection tools the photo-editing has to offer, next year. This brush is used to make selections on challenging subjects like fur and hair. It is also useful in making selections in difficult situations.
Deeper retouching features
Photoshop for iPad will soon have Curves and Levels. These features are useful for making adjustments based on tone, color range, and more.
Others
Adobe said Photoshop for iPad users will soon be able to enjoy the brush sensitivity offered by the Adobe Fresco app, and will also be able to rotate the canvas according to their preference. Lastly, the iPad app will be able to integrate with Lightroom so that users can work on their projects using the two apps seamlessly.
