'Adopt Me, Maybe?' Photo Inspired By Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' Goes Viral [PHOTO]
The Call Me Maybe craze has led to many an entertaining video inspired by the Carly Rae Jepsen smash song, and now a new photo based on the hit that encourages prospective dog owners to adopt instead of going to the pet store, Adopt Me, Maybe?, has gone viral.
The Adopt Me, Maybe photo has about 370,000 views and over 1,110 points on photo sharing site imgur.com since it was uploaded five days ago.
The picture features Anthony Rubio's two chihuahuas, Bogie and Kima, with Bogie holding a business card in his mouth.
Hey, I just met you/and this is crazy/but here's my tag number/639-252-30/so adopt me, maybe? the card reads.
The Call Me Maybe-based picture was the brainchild of Anthony Rubio, who is using the Carly Rae Jepsen song to encourage people to adopt pets instead of going to the pet store.
This is such an important message that must be shared, tweeted and reposted anywhere and everywhere [sic] because the more it is seen the more the message resonates. Ask your friends to do the same, Rubio said on his Facebook page. Together we can spread the word and make a difference.
The Facebook photo and message has been shared 17 times.
Rubio's friend, Leslie Williams Reagoso, called Rubio such an incredible advocate for shelter dogs and really all animals! Nice to see his photo getting out there!

The original song has a catchy tune that is difficult to get out of your head.
Harvard College's baseball team did a choreographed routine in a car as Call Me Maybe was blasting. The video has over 11 million YouTube views and led the Southern Methodist University women's rowing team to counter with a response video that has nearly 469,000 views.
