Adrian Peterson Rumors Update: NFL Player Goes On Twitter Rant About Contracts

If Adrian Peterson thought his reputation couldn’t get any worse, he was wrong. The Minnesota Vikings player took to Twitter after rumors died that he was going to be traded to the Dallas Cowboys, Yahoo Sports noted. He complained about his contract with the Vikings and getting a “pay cut.” Though he didn’t call out anyone specifically, it seemed link he aimed his ire at Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer.
His statement is listed below as it appears on his official Twitter account:
I love people who think they know it all! Smh, Research how many NFL teams hasn't honored a player's contract & learn something.

Hours later he added some context.
This is not against the Vikings. I am just frustrated that our union did not get guaranteed contracts for its players.

Peterson recently faced legal woes after he injured his 4-year-old son when he disciplined him with a switch, an object that is used for whipping. His actions led him to be suspended from the team, but a judge overturned the suspension in February.
