When Adrien Broner’s name is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind of most is that the 29-year-old boxer is preparing for his upcoming fight with Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao in January 2019. Unfortunately, he seems to be living up to his moniker “The Problem” as he is facing several issues outside the boxing ring.

According to TMZ Sports, Broner was reportedly arrested two days before Christmas. He was busted over the weekend at Broward County, Florida after a warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to appear in court in early December. He was booked, but eventually released, according to court records.

The bench warrant stems from a previous case that dates back to 2017. This is with regards to Broner’s previous arrest for driving without a license, speeding and no registration or proof of insurance. It turns out that the American pug has failed to appear several times in court – something that led to his arrest in July.

The distractions continue to pile up for Broner. Just a couple of days ago, BoxingScene.com revealed that “Lil Brother” was being sued for an unpaid balance worth $1.152 million tied up to a jewelry bill. This was filed by Pristine Jewelers NY, who alleged that Broner had promised to pay for multiple orders totaling to that amount. Unfortunately, his checks did not clear and the American boxer allegedly refused to follow through on a payment plan.

Broner is scheduled to face Pacquiao on Jan. 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and is expected to receive a huge payday. It remains to be seen if his earnings would be used to pay off his debts to finally set his financial situation to rest.

Heading towards that fight, Broner is trying to keep his focus and win that upcoming bout. He revealed that he is just training for the best Pacquiao possible, concerned only about coming out victorious and nothing else.

“It’s not a mystery. He has seven losses. It’s not a mystery that he can lose but anyone can lose on any given day,” Broner said.

Broner does have youth on his side, something that could become his ticket in shocking the world. His trainer, Kevin Cunningham, said he believes his boy can pull off a shocker, singling out how AB (Adrien Broner) has been tremendous during training camp, Manila Bulletin Sports said. But most of his legal issues exploded weeks after those confident claims.
