Adrienne Bailon Responds On Instagram To Tamar Braxton Being Fired From ‘The Real,’ Ignores ‘Backstabbing’ Message
Adrienne Bailon posted an Instagram message about Tamar Braxton after the singer was fired from “The Real.” With Braxton penning a message of her own that said she was “backstabbed,” rumors swirled about the true reason she was let go from the daytime talk show. One of them was that Bailon conspired to have her kicked off the series. The former Cheetah Girl didn’t hint at the gossip when she said farewell to Braxton on Instagram late Monday night.
“My SISTER Forever,” she captioned a black-and-white photo with Braxton. “The greatest thing that has come from being on the real is that I have found my best friend. My vault. My comedian & therapist. I love you. Always & Forever.”
The message garnered more than 50,000 likes from Bailon’s 2.6 million followers. In the hundreds of comments, IG users argued about whether Rob Kardashian’s ex-girlfriend was to blame for Braxton’s departure.
“Real” co-host Jeannie Mai, who reportedly also played a part in Braxton getting fired, also wrote a message to the singer. “There ain’t nobody out there like Tamar Braxton. Every time she walks into a room you know something UNFORGETTABLE is about to happen,” she wrote. “Tay u taught me to NEVER let ANYONE or ANYTHING dull your shine. Man .... this whole damn thing. Is. HARD. I love you Tay.”
Braxton has not responded to her former co-stars’ messages.
A different reason she was supposedly fired, which has nothing to do with Bailon, was because her persona didn’t mesh with advertisers, Love B. Scott wrote Tuesday. “Executives of the daytime talk show ‘The Real’ fired Tamar Braxton because of negative feedback on her ‘ghetto’ persona given by focus groups as well as on-set insubordination and rebellion by advertisers,” an insider said. “The show’s sales team made it clear that advertisers did not want her in their segments due to her antics and lack of cooperation.”
