‘The Affair’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 6 Synopsis Released; Martin To Have Frightening Health Scare [VIDEOS]
Remember when Martin (Jake Richard Siciliano) kept complaining of stomach aches on past episodes of Showtime's "The Affair"? Margaret Butler (Kathleen Chalfant) brushed it off saying he was making it up because of Helen (Maura Tierney) and Noah Solloway's (Dominic West) divorce? Well, it turns out Martin's sickness was a lot more serious than believed and almost killed the teenager.
In a sneak peek from Season 2, episode 6 , Helen and her mom get into a nasty argument over Helen's divorce. Helen tells Margaret that she and Noah have decided to share custody of their four kids, and Margaret tells her daughter she's making a big mistake.
Helen then turns on her mom and tells her she doesn't want her opinions anymore because listening to her almost killed Martin. In a second clip, Noah is seen rushing to the ER with Martin in his arms.
According to an official synopsis (via TV Guide), Martin's medical emergency "casts Helen and Noah's litigation process in a new light" and "Helen makes a long-overdue decision."
In a third teaser video viewers see Noah tell Alison that his divorce with Helen is finalized and Alison can live with him again. Even though this is good news, Alison doesn't seem too excited and tells Noah she wasn't sure where their relationship stood because they haven't seen each other in six weeks.
Noah explains he couldn't be around her because of a court order keeping her away from his kids. The episode synopsis also teases that Noah is "surprised when Alison wants to stay with her mother at the Sousanna Institute." He begins to realize that "the dynamics of their relationship have shifted -- which leads to some troublesome discoveries."
As noted in Sunday night's recap, Alison and her estranged husband Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson) slept together after Alison got upset from reading Noah's manuscript. Do you think Alison will confess to sleeping with Cole in episode 6 of "The Affair"? Share your thoughts below.
