‘After’ Movie Cast: Meet Landon, Steph And Professor Soto
Over the last few weeks, the cast of the “After” movie, which is based on Anna Todd’s bestselling romance novel of the same name, has slowly been announced to eager fans, and Wednesday night brought a big reveal on the movie’s social media pages.
Fans finally learned who will be taking on the roles of Landon (Shane Paul McGhie), Steph (Khadijha Red Thunder) and Professor Soto (Meadow Williams) in the film, which follows the intense romance between college students Tessa and Hardin. These new stars join the already-announced cast of Josephine Langford as Tessa Young, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin as Hardin Scott and Swen Temmel as Jace.
With filming already underway in Atlanta, it’s time to get to know the three newly-revealed cast members of “After”:
Shane Paul McGhie as Landon Gibson
The actor, who’s set to play Tessa’s best friend, Landon, graduated from high school in 2011 and then received a BFA in Theatre from the University of Southern California in 2016. According to his SAG-AFTRA resume, McGhie was the recipient of the USC School of Dramatic Arts’ David Dukes 2015-2016 Memorial Scholarship.
In and out of school, he participated in theater projects, performing in shows like “Arabian Nights” and “Red Noses” and musicals like “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Grand Hotel.” In the world of on-screen acting, McGhie played Spike in the 2015 crime-drama “Victor” and had guest roles on “Rebel,” “Criminal Minds” and “Shameless” last year. He was also featured as a backup singer in Jeremih’s “You’re Mine” music video.
Currently, aside from filming “After,” he’s working on a slew of projects, including the “What Women Want” remake, titled “What Men Want,” and the upcoming horror TV series “Sacred Lies.”

Khadijha Red Thunder as Steph
While Red Thunder’s set to be in front of the camera in the “After” movie as Tessa’s roommate, Steph, who introduces her to Hardin, this isn’t the type of project she’s normally in front of the camera for. As a model with agencies like Women, Storm, Photogenics and Heffner, Red Thunder’s usually being photographed instead of filmed. She’s appeared in the pages of Vogue Arabia, Teen Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar Russia, Glamour, Allure and more.

Meadow Williams as Professor Soto
Williams is playing Professor Soto, who was originally a male character in the book, but whose gender was changed for the movie to help balance the female-male character ratio. The actress has appeared in quite a few TV shows and movies before landing this role. She was in movies like 1994’s “The Mask” with Jim Carrey, 1995’s “Apollo 13,” and 2014’s “Reach Me” with Kyra Sedgwick, and she had roles on shows like “Murder, She Wrote” and “Married with Children.
She also wrote the screenplay for the 2017 movie “The Intruders,” which she produced and starred in, too. Earlier this year, her film “Den of Thieves” was released, which she acted in and executive produced. Coming up, along with “After,” Williams has two more movies, “Backtrace” with Sylvester Stallone and “Boss Level” with Mel Gibson.
