A six-vehicle car crash Saturday in North Las Vegas took the lives of nine people, drawing national attention for the high number of fatalities.

Seven of the nine were a part of the same family, prompting a GoFundMe campaign that quickly surpassed its goal.

Erlinda Zacarias took to GoFundMe on Sunday to ask for help and share what had happened to her and her family since the fatal crash.

“On January 29 at 3 pm there was an accident on the intersection of Cheyenne and Commerce in North Las Vegas, speeding was a factor, there was 6 cars involved out of those 6 cars 9 people lost their lives,” Zacarias said.

"I lost all my family, my kids 7 out of those lives lost, there are no words to describe my pain and suffering that I will not be able to hug my children again. My brother and 2 step sons lost their lives also, me and my husband are in so much pain, we are asking you for help without heart in hands anything would be helpful thank you."

The GoFundMe campaign gained major attention. As of Tuesday, and in just two days, it has raised $266,854 from nearly 6,000 donations. The original goal was $200,000.

Gary Dean Robinson, 59, was speeding in a Dodge Charger and drove through a red light, according to Las Vegas Review-Journal.

All seven of the family members who died were riding in the same Toyota Sienna minivan.

Clark County Coroner Melanie Rouse identified the minivan victims on Monday as Fernando Yeshua Mejia, 5; Adrian Zacarias, 10; Lluvia Daylenn Zacarias, 13; Bryan Axel Zacarias, 15; Gabriel Mejia-Barrera, 23; David Mejia-Barrera, 25; and Jose Zacarias-Caldera, 35.
