‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Season 2 Spoilers: 4 Things We Learned In The Emotional Midseason Premiere Promo Video
“Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 won’t return until March, but the first trailer for the midseason premiere has finally been released. It’s been nearly two months since viewers watched Skye (Chole Bennet) get her Inhuman powers. However, it seems Skye hasn’t had that long to process what happened in the winter finale. It appears that the spring premiere will pick up shortly after the midseason finale. Check out what we learned from the new promo for “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2, episode 11:
1. Skye Is Locked Up – It seems Skye is in a biocontainment room right after her powers are discovered. It isn’t clear if she put herself in quarantine or S.H.I.E.L.D. forced her to go in, but it shows that her father (Kyle McLaughlin) may have been right about her friends. “After you change no one else will understand. They'll be afraid, change is terrifying,” Cal warned her.
2. Skye Can’t Control Her Powers – She clearly makes a lighting fixture explode without intending to, and she seems scared for her life. “There is something very wrong with me,” she says.
3. Fitz Sticks Around – Even though Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) told Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) that he would transfer after they found the hidden city, it seems he is still around. Perhaps the mystery of Skye’s new powers will keep him around for good, even if it is painful for him to work alongside Simmons. However, it’s worth noting that he looks tearful in the promo, so he might still be on his way out.
4. New Creatures – At the 13 second mark, a hand appears, but it doesn’t seem to be completely human. The hand is covered in spikes ... perhaps part of Raina’s (Ruth Negga) new Inhuman powers.
