“Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2, episode 6, titled "A Fractured House," will put Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), the duo formerly known as FitzSimmons, in an awkward position. While the team is figuring out how to deal with Hydra framing them for an attack on the U.N., Fitz and Simmons will be figuring out how to deal with each other. Even though Fitz has been hallucinating his former partner for months, he is not happy to see her in a sneak peek video from the episode.

Simmons is trying to be sweet in the clip, but Fitz isn’t having it. “Oh I can’t even look at you now?” she asks.“I’m trying not to treat you any differently --”

“I know, but I am different!” Fitz says. “I’m trying not to be, but I am. And for some reason you can’t accept it.”

The brain damage Fitz suffered while saving Simmons from the bottom of the ocean has taken a toll. In addition to his hallucinations, he has had a lot of trouble finding words and has become rather withdrawn from the rest of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team.

“You left,” Fitz says. “You left and I needed help. I needed help with the cloaking. I needed help with, um, with lots of other things, and someone to talk through, at least. You gave up on me.”

Despite Simmons’ claim that she never gave up on him, Fitz is still mad. She lied to him. She said she was just going to visit her parents when she left for months to infiltrate Hydra.

“For all I know, something could’ve -- you could’ve been killed. Because what? Because you think I’m useless?”

Simmons denies the accusation, but Fitz wants to know why she left.
