‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Season 3 Netflix Release Date Confirmed; Marvel Hit Will Be Streaming All Summer
“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 3 just wrapped up, but fans will get to relive their favorite moments soon enough. Although the Blu-ray Disc/DVD box set won’t come out until September, Netflix will have the latest episodes of “SHIELD” in time for summer.
Netflix will release “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 3 June 16, TV Guide reported. The previous two seasons are already available through the streaming service.
In the third season of the ABC drama, the team has to deal with the Terrigen that has begun affecting unsuspecting people. Its victims either develop superhuman powers or die. However, not all Inhumans become superheroes. Some become villains.
Meanwhile, finding Inhumans is easier than finding their missing teammate for the agents of SHIELD. Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) is still lost after being consumed by the monolith at the end of Season 2. The search to find her leads Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) to a place he never imagined going.
The third season is particularly fun for comic book fans. Several characters from the Marvel source material are introduced. Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team meet Lash (Matthew Willig), Slingshot (Natalia Cordova-Buckley), Hellfire (Axle Whitehead) and Hive (Brett Dalton).

Three months is plenty of time to catch up on all the drama. “Agents of SHIELD” Season 4 premieres in the fall on ABC. It’ll move to Tuesdays in the 10 p.m. EDT time slot.
“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” is one of several Marvel series available via Netflix. Other shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe include “Daredevil” and the Peabody Award-winning “Jessica Jones,” both of which were made for Netflix. “Luke Cage” will join the Marvel group Sept. 30.
