‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Season 4 Spoilers: Chloe Bennet Teases Daisy’s Intentions After Going Rogue
Daisy has gone rogue on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4. As seen in the Season 3 finale’s flash-forward, the Inhuman is causing chaos, taking down banks and bridges, and her former boss Coulson is after her. However, rogue doesn’t necessarily mean evil. Actress Chloe Bennet revealed that Daisy doesn’t have much of a body count on the ABC drama.
“You’ll see coming up that there might be chaos happening and buildings might be collapsing and bridges might have been broken, but people are always miraculously saved and taken care of, the bad guys always seem to be losing,” Bennet told TVLine. “I think she’s becoming more of a vigilante than maybe she would like. I think she’s trying to do good.”
Daisy ditched S.H.I.E.L.D. after Lincoln’s (Luke Mitchell) death. She felt responsible for one too many lives being destroyed, so she wants to protect the rest of the team. “Daisy, my favorite characteristic of playing her is that no matter what happens, her level of empathy for other people is so strong that it probably comes across that she doesn’t care,” Bennet told ComicBook.com last month. “She cares so much that she can’t even let herself get there. Otherwise she’d be in so much pain and she doesn’t want to put them in pain.”
However, the new director (Jason O’Mara) might not see her vigilante actions that way. He apparently doesn’t like rule breakers. “With the world believing that Daisy is a dangerous outlaw who has taken down banks and bridges, the new director has no qualms about taking her down for good,” the synopsis for Season 4 teases.
Of course, Coulson (Clark Gregg) might be a little distracted from clearing Daisy’s name. He’ll meet Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna), also known as Ghost Rider. The former director will have to figure out if Robbie is a friend or foe while convincing the director that Daisy is a good guy.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
