“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” still has several more months of hiatus, but Henry Simmons is already teasing drama for his character, Mack.

“Personally, I love the challenge of being the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Simmons told TVLine. “Mack has worked side-by-side with the people he now leads, and that works to his advantage — he’s one of them.”

There are disadvantages too. “But the one thing that can hinder Mack’s ability to lead is his reluctance to put the people he loves in the line of danger,” Simmons teased. “As a result, this may lead to Mack’s toughest decision as director. What sacrifices will be made?”

One of those people he loves will be Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet), who typically manages to find herself in danger at least a few times every season on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” The Inhuman, who also goes by Quake, will be rocking a different look this season.

Bennet revealed new Season 6 photos of Daisy last month. She is still wearing her gauntlets (which she needs to not fracture her bones while using her powers), but her suit has been updated to include some purple. She also has some purple streaks in her blonder hair. It’s more similar to the Quake look from “Marvel Rising.”

Fans will have to wait and see if Daisy and Mack are fighting alongside Coulson (Clark Gregg). The former director was dying at the end of last season and had seemingly accepted his fate. He looked like he was going to live out his dying days on a beach with Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), but audiences are hoping that they found a last-minute cure.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 6 will premiere in summer 2019. Though it is shortened to 13 episodes and moved to a different time of year, fans don’t have to worry about cancellation. ABC already renewed the show for Season 7.
