Is ‘Agents Of SHIELD’ On Tonight? ABC Delays Season 6, Episode 5
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 6 is taking a week off. ABC will not air Season 6, episode 5 on Friday night.
It looks like NBA finals are the reason ABC is delaying the Marvel Television show and not even airing a rerun. At 8 p.m. EDT, “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night” will air. At 8:30 p.m. EDT, “NBA Countdown” will start. Game 4 will air at 9 p.m. EDT. “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will return next week.
“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans will be disappointed to hear they have to wait another week for Season 6, episode 5. Last fans saw, Coulson’s new evil lookalike, Sarge (Clark Gregg), took May (Ming-Na Wen) hostage, and he’ll still have her in the new episode. Fans are also waiting to catch up with the space-bound agents, who haven’t been seen in a couple of weeks.
“Sarge has May; Altarah (Sherri Saum) has Daisy (Chloe Bennet), Enoch (Joel Stoffer) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge); and now, there are two planets that need saving,” the official synopsis for episode 5 teases. The installment is titled “The Other Thing” and is directed by Lou Diamond Phillips.
The promo video is a lot more revealing. May and Sarge get a chance to talk, and it seems he isn’t trying to destroy their world. He’s actually trying to stop whatever infected Keller (Lucas Bryant), forcing Yo-Yo (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) to kill him. Is he actually a good guy?

Elsewhere, Daisy and Simmons finally found Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) in episode 3. Unfortunately, Fitz was immediately teleported away by some “hunter” class of Chronicoms (Enoch is in the anthropologist class).
The promo video for episode 5 makes it look like they’ll find Fitz again, but he is being held hostage by some evil aliens. Altarah is “an aggressive Chronicom who wants something from our team,” TVLine reports, and it looks like she wants something only Fitz can provide.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 6, episode 5 airs Friday, June 14 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
