Jonathan Goodwin is recovering after getting into an accident last week while he was doing his act for "America's Got Talent: Extreme."
Goodwin shared a photo taken from his hospital bed on Instagram. His face appears to have some scabs while his hand has a bandage. He accompanied the post with a lengthy caption detailing how thankful he is for the outpour of love and support he received following the accident.
"You can’t say you don’t get out what you put in. I've tried my hardest over the years to be kind, thoughtful, honest supportive, and good," he wrote. "A couple of days ago my life took a complete left turn… and the outpouring of love from all the corners of the world; from people I didn’t even think would know or remember me… has just been astonishing. Truly incredible. "
He thanked everyone who reached out and sent their love to him. According to him, their efforts were a "lifesaver." He also named some of the people who helped him big time because they "should not remain nameless." He thanked Tony, Stuart and Jenni, Milligan, Joe, Grace, Jane, Simon, Danny and Helen. He also thanked his parents and his fiancée, Amanda.
According to Goodwin, he has been to the worst that a human being can imagine and he was protected by love. So, he encouraged the people to make sure they get some love because it's "good s--t."
Goodwin might not be able to return to the competition because, according to him, "There is a long road to recovery." He also said he may leave the "daft s--t alone" but he still has a lot of things to do.
Meanwhile, NBC announced that it would temporarily shut down the production on "AGT: Extreme" following Goodwin's accident to "focus on the wellbeing of our crew." The production will resume the last few days of filming at a later date because its priority is the health and safety of the people behind the show.
"AGT: Extreme" is set for a midseason premiere. It is hosted by Terry Crews and features judges Simon Cowell, former WWE wrestler Nikki Bella and motorsports champion Travis Pastrana.
