American actress and socialite, Zsa Zsa Gabor, who has recently emerged from a state of coma on May 24, 2011 was in good spirits and even enjoyed her husband's 68th anniversary on Sunday with a drink of champagne.
In 2002, Gabor suffered an automobile accident and was partially paralyzed in hospital for several weeks. Following this, she suffered a stroke in 2005 for which she underwent a surgery.
However, it was the 2010 accident at home when her health became critical. After undergoing a hip replacement surgery following the accident, her condition deteriorated and finally, she had to undergo an amputation above the knee on January 14, 2011.
On May 18, 2011, Gabor had been rushed to the hospital again due to bleeding around her feeding tube. It was later announced that she had gone into a coma and was unresponsive.
Known for her charm and beauty, Gabor was one of the most sought after actress known for her roles in iconic movies like Moulin Rouge and We're Not Married!
