AirPods 2 Potential Release With AirPower Around Fall 2019

The next-generation AirPods 2 have been confirmed to be in development by one of Apple’s partner companies. Apple has yet to announce the actual release date, but many speculations suggested that the company will release these in late 2019. Here’s what we know about this.

According to AppleInsider, the AirPods 2 is currently being developed by Inventec, one of Apple’s partner companies. The new wireless headphones are said to made with new material when it comes to the earbuds and charging case. The new accessories will also have a better grip, which is useful for this small device.

To come with the AirPods 2 is the AirPower charging mat, which has also been confirmed to be released with the wireless headphones. Many Apple fans have been expecting the AirPower mat since 2017 as it was announced along with the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. Other than Apple smartphones, the AirPower charging mat will reportedly also work with other Apple devices such as the Apple Watch and AirPods 2 once it gets released. The mat was also expected to be released along with the iPhone XS and XR but never showed up even once last year.

As of now, Apple has been focusing more on providing services rather than new devices. This announcement was made at CES where they reinforced their interest in improving their apps that are available on all smart devices. Additionally, Apple will also have an event this coming March which also focuses on their next steps in improving their services. However, Apple has yet to announce if they’re about to reveal any details about their devices, such as the AirPods 2 and the new 2019 iPhones, at this event.

For now, Apple hasn’t been big on announcing their new devices this 2019. The company has mostly been pushing out some of their older devices and refurbished phones on the Apple Store. For now, we can only wait for the next set of major Apple announcements to know what they’re up to this year.
