Aishwarya Rai Baby Comes Home; Media Get First Photos
Seven days after the birth of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's daughter, the Bachchan family has finally spoken to the media Tuesday.
Mega star Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek attended a press conference at their Mumbai residence, Jalsa.
Ashwarya was discharged from the Seven Hills Hospital in the morning and from there the whole family went to their earlier resident Pratiksha as they have many fond memories with that house. The family then went to Jalsa where they held a press conference in the evening.
I think she looks like Aishwarya. As you know face of a kid changes with time, but I think she looks like Aishwarya. But some people in the family think she looks like Abhishek, said Big B.
On the name of the baby, Abhishek said the name had not been finalized yet, and the family members were still thinking about it.
If you have any suggestions (about the name) we will be very happy, Abhishek added.
Abhishek and Aishwarya want to name her with 'A'. People have been sending their suggestions and the name will be decided in one or two days, said Amitabh.
Earlier in the morning, many close friends of the Bachchans visited Aishwarya at the hospital. Abhishek's childhood friend Goldie Behal and wife Sonali Bendre were among the visitors.
While coming out of the hospital, Amitabh covered the baby in a small pink quilt to save here from the media glare.
According to a report, Amitabh was informed by his private guards about the presence of cameras outside the hospital which made him extra cautious and he opted to carry the baby in his broad arms.
Aishwarya was accompanied by Amitab Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek, while her sister-in-law Shweta Nanda was reportedly at home to welcome her and the baby.
NDTV has posted the photos of Beti B leaving the hospital in his grandfather's arms.
