AJ McCarron’s Girlfriend Is The Early Winner Of The 2013 BCS National Championship [PHOTO]

The Internet is abuzz with talks about A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend. While the Alabama quarterback is having a fantastic BCS National Championship game, all the talk is about his girlfriend, Katherine Webb.

A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend may be getting more attention than Alabama, Notre Dame and the BCS National Championship combined. Katherine Webb graduated from the University of Auburn in 2011 and has had a successful beauty pageant career.

Webb, 23, is the current Miss Alabama and competed in the Miss USA 2012 pageant, finishing in sixth place.

Webb’s first appearance on screen had Brent Musburger, one of the announcers for the game, gushing about her beauty. As the camera pans away from the end of an Alabama play, Musburger says, “When you are a quarterback for Alabama, you see that lovely lady there? She does go to Auburn, I admit that, but she is Miss Alabama and A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend. OK? You quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman. Wow! Woah!” Kirk Herbstreit chimes in, saying “A.J.’s doing some things right.” Musburger gives some advice to youth adding, “If you are a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with Pops.”

Twitter has also been sent into overdrive over McCarron’s girlfriend. The several pageant photos of Webb have surfaced and have been shared at a frantic pace. Webb’s Twitter has received several thousand followers and there have been more than 30,000 tweets about Webb and “McCarron’s girlfriend” within the last hour, totaling close to 85,000 throughout Monday.
