Alan Tudyk’s Wife Can’t Stop Calling The ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Actor Her Husband After Their ‘Dreamy Wedding’ [PHOTO]
Alan Tudyk’s wife Charissa Barton has a new favorite word.
Hours after People broke the news that Tudyk and Barton had gotten married, Barton revealed on Instagram that she can’t stop calling the “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” actor her husband.
“Final moment at our dreamy wedding,” she captioned a sweet photo of the newlyweds. “My new favorite word is husband. Can’t stop saying it! #alantudyk #married #inlove.”
Tudyk also took to social media to express what he’s feeling after the ceremony. “‘Rogue One, A Star Wars Story, Alan Tudyk,’ is how the Minister said my name as well,” the 45-year-old actor wrote in a tweet, along with a link to People’s story. He ended his post with the hashtag: “#ohsohappy.”
Tudyk and Barton exchanged “I do’s” on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Paramour Estate in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silver Lake. The groom sported an Armani tux on the special day, while the bride wore a Vera Wang wedding gown. See their wedding outfit here.
Tudyk and Barton got engaged in December 2015. At the time, the actor announced their engagement in a tweet that read: “Apologies ladies-I’m off the market. Apologies fellas-@charissabarton1 is off the market. the single-market not flesh-trade market #engaged.”
According to her website, Barton is a creative director, choreographer, dancer and co-founder of the Los Angeles-based production dance company, Barton Movement. With a career that spans 25 years across 17 countries, she recently worked as associate choreographer on Katy Perry’s Grammy performance and as a choreographer for popular web series “Con Man,” which Tudyk created.
Tudyk, on the other hand, is best known for his role as Hoban “Wash” Washburne on the FOX cult sci-fi series “Firefly.” He’s also an experienced voice actor, whose voice acting credits include “Frozen,” “Ice Age” and “Wreck-It-Ralph, ” among many others. Aside from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, ” which is set to be released on Dec. 15, Tudyk’s other upcoming projects also include Disney’s “Moana” and NBC’s “Powerless.”
