Alana Thompson Goes Makeup-Free On Instagram; Fans React, ‘Naturally Beautiful’

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson looked much younger without her usual heavy makeup, according to fans.

On Wednesday, the 16-year-old took to Instagram to announce the launch of her latest merch. Alana posted a video where she discussed the release of her new collection, comprising self-designed shirts.

“Hi everyone! So everybody wanted me to do a new shirt drop, and of course, I listened, and of course, I did one. So I have a new shirt drop. It is on my website,” Honey Boo Boo said in the clip while she’s visibly not sporting any makeup.

She added that her fans would surely love the new shirts because she designed them herself. She then teased that more merch items are coming in the future, so fans have to watch out for those as well.

Alana’s post quickly garnered a lot of responses from her fans and followers. However, many of them focused on her natural look in the video since she’s been sporting fake lashes, makeup and long nails ever since she became a teen.

“You are naturally beautiful. You don’t need to enhance anything (i.e., lashes and extreme nails). Just know that,” one wrote.

“You look so beautiful without the huge eyelashes and long nails,” another commented.

“Sweetie, [you] go girl. [You] look so much younger without makeup. Keep it natural. [Y]our skin is beautiful,” a different fan advised Alana.

Aside from noticing her appearance, some congratulated Mama June’s youngest daughter for running a business at a young age.

“You’re doing fantastic in your design and shirt making. You go girl, you got it all going pretty good for doing all of this,” one fan commented.

“Congratulations sweetheart, [you are] such an inspirational [sic] to young adults,” a different user added.

The “Mama June: Road to Redemption” star recently made headlines after eagle-eyed fans spotted what looked like an engagement ring on her finger.

However, her rep quickly shut down the speculations, telling Page Six that Alana did not get engaged to her 21-year-old boyfriend Dralin Carswell, who currently appears on her family’s reality show.

Alana’s sister and legal guardian, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, also addressed the issue in an interview with The Sun. She said the ring was not an engagement band. It was more of a “promise ring” that Carswell gifted her sister last year.

Alana and Dralin started dating in the spring of 2021. They confirmed their relationship on social media in September that year.
