Alec Baldwin Punches NYC Photographer Then Addresses Incident On Late Night with David Letterman [VIDEO]
Alec Baldwin is making all sorts of headlines these days.
In an apparent effort to clear the air on his recent scuffle with a photographer, Baldwin appeared on Wednesday's Late Night with David Letterman.
Just one day earlier, the 30 Rock star had a bit of a physical altercation with New York Daily News photographer Marcus Santos outside the Marriage License Bureau in Manhattan.
The Daily News went on to report that Baldwin instigated the fight by punching Santos in the face shortly after exiting the building where he had just obtained a license to wed his fiancee, 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas.
On Wednesday night's edition of Letterman, Baldwin, who entered the set to the Pat Benatar classic Hit Me With Your Best Shot, suggested that Santos was very masterful at getting really close to you with the camera. ... They want you to react.
While continuing to claim his innocence in the whole ordeal, he added that No one got punched by the way . . . I kinda pushed him out of the way because he almost hit me in the face with the camera he. Had I punched him, I'd be in jail.
After commenting on the incident with the photographer, Baldwin quickly diverted attention away from the topic by focusing on the fact the he has recently shed some pounds.
The 54-year-old actor proceeded to show the audience just how much weight he lost by dropping his pants all the way to the ground.
Letterman surprisingly followed suit by taking part in the bottomless segment of the show, revealing that he is apparently a fan of knee high socks.
Once his Letterman duties were done, Baldwin and Thomas arrived together for the premiere of his new film - the Woody Allen-directed To Rome With Love.
Baldwin posed for pictures on the red carpet but declined to answer shouted questions from reporters about his anger management issues, according to the Daily News.
