Alec Baldwin And Wife Hilaria Thomas Welcome Baby Girl; Baldwin’s Daughter Ireland Baldwin Pens Letter To Newborn
Hilaria Thomas, Alec Baldwin’s wife, gave birth to a baby girl in New York on Friday night, and the new mother took to her Twitter account to announce the baby's name -- Carmen Gabriela.
“We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter Carmen Gabriela. She is absolutely perfect,” Thomas, a yoga, instructor tweeted.
Baldwin and Thomas, who were married in June 2012, announced earlier this year that they were expecting their first child together, and the “30 Rock” actor previously told People that he would love to be a stay-at-home dad.
“My dream is to be home with the baby, standing in the doorway, saying goodbye to Mommy,” Baldwin, who already has a 17-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger, told People at the time.
Ireland, too, took to her Twitter account to welcome the newborn into the family, and she posted on Tumblr a “Happy Birthday” message with some sisterly advice that ranges from how to deal with arguments with parents to matters of the heart.
“Just remember, always look for someone who respects you,” Ireland writes about how to find the right partner. “Someone who loves you for the beautiful soul that you possess. Never let a boy abuse you. Physically or verbally. The moment a boy messes with you, he will be very sorry. Between Dad and I…OH IT’S ON.”
In the letter, Ireland details how she hopes Carmen’s first drink would be with her sister and writes that “when you want to try your first drink, it’ll should be with me. I will take you to a nice restaurant. That’s right Carmen, I will wine and dine you.”
