Alec Baldwin's Wife Hilaria Says They 'Would Crumble' Without Fans' Support Following Criminal Charges
Alec Baldwin's wife, yoga instructor Hilaria Baldwin, has shared that she is grateful for fans' support as their family goes through a difficult time.
Alec has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed and shot after a prop gun held by the actor was discharged on the set of the movie "Rust" in October 2021.
Expressing her appreciation for fans during her guesting on Sunday's episode of the "Witches Anonymous" podcast, Hilaria said, "It's been an emotional time for my family and I do so want to express to you how grateful I am for your support and your kindness and your reason."
She added, "Quite honestly, I think without it, we would crumble. So thank you so much for being our rock right now, because I don't feel so strong."
Hilaria, who shares seven kids with Alec — Carmen, 9, Rafael, 7, Leonardo, 6, Romeo, 4, Eduardo, 2, Lucia, 2, and Illaria, 4 months — went on to discuss the challenges she is currently facing as a parent.
The 39-year-old yoga instructor noted that kids are like "sponges and certain conversations are not always age-appropriate." Hilaria also shared that their children can also "feel the energy" of what's going on at home.
She shared that parenting is "stressful, regardless of added stress." The yoga instructor explained that her goal is to protect her kids and make them feel like everything is fine even if it's not.
However, she admitted that hard times for kids at this age are good in the long run because they will teach them not to be afraid of emotion and pain.
"It's going to teach them to be resilient and understand that feelings are temporary and better times are going to come again," she continued.
Hilaria and Alec got married in 2012. Aside from sharing seven children with Hilaria, Alec also shares a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
As far as the criminal charges are concerned, involuntary manslaughter is punishable by up to a year and a half in jail and a $5,000 fine. The actor can also face a five-year prison sentence because the offense was committed using a gun.
