Alex Rodriguez Asked Out This 'Real Housewives' Star After Jennifer Lopez Split, Report Claims

Alex Rodriguez has been getting flirty with "Real Housewives of New York City" star Kelly Bensimon as he moves on from Jennifer Lopez, a report has claimed.

The former Yankee slugger, 46, has been exchanging texts with Bensimon, 53, and has asked out the reality star a number of times, Page Six reported, citing unnamed sources.

"They have a cute and flirty text relationship," one insider told the outlet. "Alex has asked her out more than once, although she has not gone on a date with him."

A rep for Bensimon confirmed to the outlet that she has been in contact with Rodriguez.

"They’ve been having a fun text relationship for the last couple of months," the former model's rep said. "She thinks he is charming and a gentleman. They have mutual friends and she has been talking to him about real estate."

However, a rep for Rodriguez denied claims that he sent Bensimon any "flirty texts." According to the spokesperson, it was Bensimon who reached out to Rodriguez regarding a "real estate opportunity," but that was the extent of their communication.

"There is nothing there. A lot of people reach out to him for business purposes," the former athlete's rep said.

Bensimon works as a real estate broker and has sold over $100 million of real estate this year with Douglas Elliman. She represents properties in New York City, the Hamptons and South Florida. She also recently expanded into Europe with Knight Frank.

The report comes months after Rodriguez and Lopez announced that they were calling off their two-year engagement in April. Shortly after their split, the singer rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck, while Rodriguez has been linked to a number of women in the past several months.

Rodriguez posted on Instagram a message about moving on back in May, just hours before Lopez and Affleck made headlines after being spotted together in Florida.

"I am about to step into a new beginning in my life. Anything that doesn't serve me is clearly out of my life," he wrote on his Instagram Story. "New energy is emerging. New levels are unlocking for me mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am remaining patient and know that this new phase of my life is coming."

In June, the former MLB player sparked dating rumors with Katie Holmes after he was spotted leaving her apartment building. However, unnamed sources told E! News that he was house-hunting and was unaware that the actress was living there.

At the time, Rodriguez had been searching for a new bachelor pad in New York City. He also looked at properties in Tribeca and Upper West Side and has since expanded his search.
