"Spy Kids" star Alexa Vega is making waves after news her marriage two-year marriage ended in divorce. The 23-year-old actress then took to Twitter to post a rather revealing pic via Instagram. The actress is slated to appear in director Robert Rodriguez' "Machete Kills," the follow-up to the Danny Trejo action film, "Machete."

The star, unlike so many young actors and actresses, has been stretching out, performing in a variety of genre work ("Repo! The Genetic Opera", "The Mine") while also making notable television appearances on "Royal Pains" and "The Middle". The Florida native originally rose to stardom playing Carmen Cortez in the children's action-comedy "Spy Kids", which spawned three sequels. "Machete Kills", her latest film, furthers her collaboration with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez.

According to OMG/Yahoo, the actress tweeted the steamy image of herself on-set of "Machete Kills", where she plays the character of KillyJoy. The actress seems intent on showing the world just how grown-up she is, after divorcing producer Sean Covel and using Twitter to showcase her latest role. Vega is joined in "Machete Kills" by Sofia Vergara (TV's "Modern Family"), Michelle Rodriguez ("Avatar"), Amber Heard ("The Rum Diary") and Jessica Alba ("Sin City"). A veritable who's who of steamy screen sirens.

"Machete Kills" is shooting now, and is set to hit screens in 2013.
