Algorithm Generates Fake 2018 Coachella Lineup, Hilarious Band Names

The 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup, which was first announced in the first few days of the year, features some of the biggest names in music and entertainment including Eminem, Beyonce, the Weeknd, and numerous others.

But a Botnik-generated computer algorithm has put together absurd band names in the same lineup style as the California music festival's famous posters. The algorithm used thousands of real band names to create the amalgamation that has been getting shared on Twitter and Facebook throughout Tuesday.

The algorithm uses all the quirky melodramatic phrases, inane articles, and sappy animal name tricks seen in real bands to create their hilarious list.

Among the names on the algorithm-generated lineup for Coachella 2018: Fanch, Lil Hack, Horse Choir, Giraffics, Jacked Like A Man, Only We Bad Are, Slaw Bomb, Billions of Mario, and many, many more.

Needless to say, music fans and the Coachella faithful both had some fun reacting to the bogus band names.
