Ali Fedotowsky Shares Easter Tips And Excitement About First Holiday With Daughter Molly
Former “Bachelorette” Star Ali Fedotowsky has reason to be excited this year for Easter. For the first time ever, she gets to celebrate with a very special person in her life—her daughter, Molly.
Ali, who gave birth to Molly last Summer, told International Business Times that while she knows her nine-month-old won’t remember her first Easter, it is still important to both she and new husband Kevin Manno that they make it special by spending it together.
“I think the main overall message of holidays like Easter is just to be with your loved ones, so we’re just going to spend time together, we’re going to decorate together, we’re going to make brunch together,” she told IBT. “We’re going to do like a faux Easter egg hunt where we basically put the eggs around her play mat and that’s going to be her finding the Easter eggs, instead of doing an actual easter egg hunt. But it should be really good.”
Another part of Ali’s plan will include taking lots of photos of her daughter during the celebration, something that’s important to her because letting Molly have memories from when she was a baby matters to the new mom.
“I just think because I grew up in a very different age... growing up, I don’t actually have a ton of photos of myself as a baby, so I just really want to document her life so she has all of these memories of herself when she gets older,” she said. “It’s one of the reasons I did Easter decorating early. Is she going to remember the decorating? No, but one day she’s going to have a photo of herself decorating her very first easter egg with her parents, and that’s something she can cherish forever.”

However, Ali isn’t the only one who could wind up having a great Easter. She has partnered with the American Egg Board this year to provide a lucky fan the chance to win a pack of prizes by entering an Easter egg art sweepstakes. Anyone who wants to enter simply has to take a photo of their decorated Easter eggs and share them on social media with #eggart and #sweepstakes. Whoever wins the contest will get prizes including a KitchenAid Mixer and a cookbook.
For Ali though, the partnership is also beneficial to her because while she wishes she was good at DIY crafts, she’s not, and the Egg Board had great ideas for ways she could better decorate her own eggs.
“I’m no DIY Master, I’m actually really terrible at arts and crafts, so I want to find really easy ways to decorate, and I found some really cool ones with the Egg Board,” she said.
Among her favorites? “… literally just putting an egg in glue and then putting it in a ziploc bag full of glitter. And there’s also some gorgeous and fun techniques with tattooing eggs like temporary tattoos, you can do anything... and you just put them on the egg just like you would on your skin and it does the artwork for you.”
