'All About That Bass' Singer Meghan Trainor Is New Face Of Skechers Shoes
From being a singer to a brand ambassador for shoes, Meghan Trainor has come a long way. The “All About That Bass” singer has teamed-up with American shoe company Skechers for a global marketing campaign.
Trainor will be the face of Skechers until 2017, joining Devi Lovato who is already featured in Skechers' ongoing Colorful Comfort campaign.
"I'm very excited to work with Sketchers!” Trainor said in a company release. The singer called Skechers a company that “celebrates style and being true to yourself!”
“The shoes are so comfortable and stylish too. I know my fans will love this campaign," Trainor added.
Michael Greenberg, the president of Skechers is “thrilled” to partner with the singer. Greenberg said he is planning to make a “new bright and colorful women's campaign,” which will be titled “All About The Shoes.”
Trainor, 21, is not the first musician to work with Skechers. The California shoe company has previously worked with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Carrie Underwood.
The “Dear Future Husband” singer is currently on her MTRAIN tour in the United States. She hit a roadblock recently when she had to postpone a few dates on her tour after suffering a hemorrhage on her vocal cords. The singer was advised complete vocal rest for a few weeks in July but she got very impatient.
"I have never missed a tour date before so this is killing me," Trainor shared on Instagram. "I hate his." The singer has recovered and is back on the tour, making a successful comeback at The Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles Friday, Billboard reported.
