  • Park Ji-Hoo started acting in 2016
  • She landed her first lead role in "All Of Us Are Dead"
  • Director Lee Jae-Gyu hopes the series will return for a season 2

If she could do it all over again, Park Ji-Hoo would fight zombies bravely like the other characters in the new Netflix series. The 18-year-old actress recently opened up about the trait she wished her character On-Jo had in the 12-episode zombie drama, "All of Us Are Dead."

"On Jo didn’t participate in amazing action scenes but rather, she had to run away a lot. Because of this, she had a lot of scenes where she was always running, falling, and coming face-to-face with zombies. I thought to myself, 'I wish On Jo could have been braver because she would have been able to fight the zombies head on,'" she said in a report by Koreaboo.

The teen actress landed her first lead role in the Netflix series after her acting debute in 2016 with the short film, "The Home Without Me." Park was cast in other productions such as "Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned," "Fabricated City" and "The Witness," but only gained nationwide and international popularity after starring as the lovestruck teenager in "All Of Us Are Dead."

Regarding the filming of the series, Park said it was a breeze working with the other actors on set as they were mostly in the same age group. She said it felt more like going to school rather than being on a film set. "We would always gather in the classrooms and talk about acting. We also played 'Yut Nori' (Korean board game) and other games. Through that, we became close. During that time, I was worried about my college entrance exam, so the unnies (older girls) and oppas (older boys) talked about college with me and gave me life advice. Every day was a fun day," she added in the interview.

Meanwhile, director Lee Jae-Gyu shared his excitement as the series continues to gain international attention and talked about his wish for the series to be renewed for a second season.

"Many directions, settings and scenes were intentionally produced to expand the story into an additional season, including the introduction of the new races of zombies — immune and immortal. If the first season can be seen as having presented humanity's survival, the next season can talk about the survival of zombies. I hope to present viewers with another season," Lee said in an online conference Monday.
