Amal Alamuddin Heartbreak: Barrister Allegedly Embarrassed About George Clooney's Involvement With Ex's Assault Case

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have, reportedly, been facing challenges in their marriage lately. Rumors are rife that the “Ocean’s Eleven” star and the Lebanese-British barrister have not seen each other for months because of their hectic schedules. This, according to reports, has caused endless arguments and fights between the power couple.

Woman’s Day Australia, in its April 20, 2020 issue, claimed that George, allegedly, came to his former ladylove’s rescue and Amal was not impressed at all. The entertainment news outlet shared that the “Up in the Air” star was dragged into an “ugly” assault case that involves Elisabetta Canalis, who he dated for two years. The 41-year-old performer, reportedly, had a fight with a fellow mother at her daughter’s dance class in September 2019.

A source told the publication that Elisabetta asked for George Clooney’s help. The “Batman & Robin” star and Italian actress have, allegedly, been texting regularly because of the case. George, reportedly, vowed to give his full support to his ex-girlfriend. However, Amal Alamuddin is said to be far from impressed as she thinks it is embarrassing that her husband is getting involved in his former flame’s mess.

“Firstly, Amal is a high-profile lawyer who represents real people with real problems, so she thinks it’s embarrassing that he’s getting involved with something so cheap and nasty. She’s told George in no uncertain terms that she wants nothing to do with Elisabetta and her court case,” an insider claimed.

“Secondly, and Amal probably won’t admit this, but it irks her that he’s obviously still close with Elisabetta. She’s one of George’s many exes Amal has always felt uneasy about – she’s hot, young, and incidentally looks not unlike herself. Her women’s instincts are definitely firing, here,” it went on.

The news came amid the speculations suggesting that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s marriage is hitting rock bottom. Star Magazine even reported that the couple has been feuding about where to raise their twins. The “Gravity” actor, allegedly, wants his family to stay in Los Angeles, Calif. for good. However, the human rights lawyer, reportedly, does not agree with George’s plans, especially because Amal does not want Ella and Alexander to become actors just like their dad.

Both George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have yet to comment on these reports. However, with Woman’s Day and Star Magazine’s history of creating stories based on the accounts of its unreliable and anonymous sources, these could be another set of baseless reports waiting to be debunked.
