Amal Clooney Wears All-Black For Date Night With Husband George In Rome

Amal Clooney was dressed in an all-black look for a date night with her husband in Rome on Saturday night. The human rights lawyer opted for one of her go-to designers Giambattista Valli for the dinner date at Dal Bolognese in Rome. The A-list couple were in Italy to meet Pope Francis.

Amal’s dress is from the label’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection (Look 16). It featured a very plunging ‘V’ neckline, a sleeveless and fitted bodice, pleated skirt and a cape on the right shoulder with the same pleat detailing that fell near the hemline of her above-the-knee dress. The dress also had an embellished, black and white belt which was cinched in at the waist and showed off Amal’s tiny waist.

The British-Lebanese barrister added a pop of color to her all-black look with a striking pair of pointed toe high heels with blue slingbacks. Her Satin patent slingback pumps in black and blue is by Giambattista Valli, but currently sold out. Amal accessorized with pearl drop earrings and her mega-carat engagement ring.

She showed off her cleavage and toned arms and pins in the black dress. The 38-year-old carried a black clutch bag. The lawyer added a pop of color with her signature red lipstick, she also wore pink blush, black eyeliner and some mascara. Her long brunette tresses were styled into cascading waves with a side part and her favorite bouncy blowout.

Meanwhile, George, 55, complemented his wife in a black shirt paired with a shining gray suit. The “Money Monster” actor finished his look in a pair of black lace-up shoes. He also showed off his salt and pepper hair.

George and Amal met the Pope in the Vatican Sunday. He awarded medals to American actors Richard Gere and George Clooney and actress Salma Hayek at an event to promote the work of a foundation inspired by the pontiff, Scholas Occurrentes. George received the medal of the “Ulivo della Pace.” For the occasion Amal wore a black lace dress with three-quarter length sleeves and high neck.

Amal’s hair was left loose over her shoulders while she wore a black headgear. She wore a pair of nude high heels an carried a matching box clutch and accessorized with small pearl drop earrings. Amal wore pink lipstick and a hint of black eyeliner and some mascara for the occasion. George was dressed in a navy suit, white shirt, striped tie and black lace-up shoes.
