Amanda Bynes Reveals New Milestone Months After Friends Feared For Her Life
Amanda Bynes has made a rare update about her life on social media, months after some of her friends disclosed that they feared she might die in rehab.
On Monday, the “What A Girl Wants” actress took to Twitter to share a snap of her and a pal during their graduation ceremony at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Bynes proudly stated in her caption that she’s now an official “FIDM graduate.”
The former child star’s tweet surprised many fans, but they quickly congratulated her for the new milestone. Many expressed how proud they are of Amanda for her latest accomplishment and they are glad that she’s doing good at present.
It can be noted that back in March, news broke that Bynes once again entered rehab early this year because she was struggling with all the attention being given to her after her controversial interview late last year.
Some of the Hollywood actress’ pals reportedly opened up to a news and gossip outlet that they were getting very worried for Amanda because she might not survive her latest rehab stint.
“Amanda has put her body through so much. Everyone is terrified this latest slip-up may kill her,” one of Bynes’ close friends said on condition of anonymity. Another pal went on to say that Bynes was not handling the “media spotlight” quite well.
Two months prior, the “She’s The Man” star freely admitted in a no-holds barred interview with Paper Magazine that she abused drugs like ecstasy and that she started smoking weed at the age of 16.
Bynes also revealed that she quickly expanded her drug options after trying molly and ecstasy. She pointed out that she never liked cocaine even though she did try it a few times. She also disclosed that she had developed an extreme addiction to Adderall at one point in her life.
Amanda’s interview happened at a time when she was trying to re-establish her career following years of absence from the limelight after the shocking revelation that she was being treated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Unfortunately, the “pressure” of being back on the spotlight caused her to once again enter rehab in January.
It wasn’t clear when exactly Bynes left rehab but an insider did reveal to Us Weekly that she celebrated her 33rd birthday in the treatment facility on April 3. Back then, the source indicated that the actress was expected to remain in rehab for an unspecified amount of time.
