Many celebrities who attended the 42nd American Music Awards Sunday night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles displayed a chic look. While some stars were the epitome of glamor, some missed the mark. The following is the top-six best dressed and the top-six worst dressed.

BEST DRESSED:

1. Fergie

The mother-of-one rocked one of the popular looks of the night: a high slit. Fergie wore hers to the side in a sleek fashion, which has now become known as the “Angelina Jolie.”

2. Kendall Jenner

Model Kendall Jenner also wore a slit for her ensemble, but unlike Fergie, she opted to have hers go down the middle. Kim Kardashian’s younger sister is making a name for herself, and was just announced as Estée Lauder’s new face.

3. Selena Gomez

Opting for one of the popular colors of night, black, Selena Gomez’s off-the-shoulder gown was conservative in the front, but when she turned out, the former Disney star showed off her back.

4. Frankie J. Grande

Ariana Grande’s brother Frankie went shirtless and instead used paint to show off his body.

5. Meghan Trainor

Meghan Trainor was all about that black Sunday night, staying on trend with a bunch of other celebs. The “All About That Bass” singer brought some fun to her outfit with a cute lips clutch.

6. Jennifer Lopez

Triple threat Jennifer Lopez showed off her gorgeous figure in a pink dress.

WORST DRESSED:

1. Khloe Kardashian

At first it just looks like Kardashian opted for the signature little black dress, but on closer look, the youngest Kardashian sister had a strange embellishment on the side of her garment that seemed a little off.

2. Kylie Jenner

Jenner was seen wearing a similar loose, silk look to the 2014 Video Music Awards. Though her hair and makeup were on point, the dress doesn’t seem to fit her body properly.

3. Jaden Smith

Jenner’s rumored boyfriend Jaden Smith showed up underdressed to the event and looked like he was getting ready to hang out rather than appear on a red carpet.

4. Ansel Elgort

The teen heartthrob might be a hit at the box office with “The Fault in Our Stars,” but his outfit probably didn’t make people swoon. Aside from the strange pattern on his pants, his jack seemed too small.

5. Albanian pop artist Bleona

While it might be nice for a burlesque show, Bleona’s frock was barely there. Her sequined pasties and underwear could be easily seen through her fishnet dress.
