‘Amazing Race’ 2015 Cast Announced; Meet The Season 27 Contestants [PHOTOS]
If you’re going to travel the world and split $1 million with someone, it better be someone you’re close to. “The Amazing Race” Season 27 teams will have to do just that, so it makes sense that there are plenty of couples, family members and best friends on board for the 2015 installment of the reality show. CBS has revealed the teams competing in this fall’s competition, and they’re going to have to hope their bonds are strong enough to get them through the race.
Jazmine Lewis and Danielle Littleton are best friends from California who think they’re just like Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. Jazmine, 23, is an LA Galaxy squad girl, while Danielle, 23, is a student.
Kelly Berning and Shevonne Sullivan are friends and co-workers at the entertainment website TMZ. Kelly, 37, is a Los Angeles native who fears being kidnapped while on the show. Shevonne, 31, is from Massachusetts and is afraid of getting the stomach flu during the competition.
Justin Scheman and Diana Bishop are engaged teammates. Justin, 39, is a radio host from New York, while Diana, 30, is a teacher from Pennsylvania. The two first caught the attention of fans when Justin planned an “Amazing Race”-themed proposal that went viral.
Denise Williams and James Corley are a mother and son team from Alabama. Denise, 51, is an administrative assistant and James, 26, is a resident physician. Denise hopes to prove to her son that she has no problem with him being gay.
Alex Manard and Adam Dingeman are cousins from Illinois and Iowa, respectively. Alex is a 22-year-old department supervisor at a clothing store, while Adam, 24, is a host and waiter. Both fear getting lost while on “The Amazing Race.”
Kelsey Gerckens and Joey Buttita are dating and they work together, so the Californians are used to balancing their relationship with hard work. Kelsey, 25, is a news reporter, while Joey, 26, is a news anchor.
Tanner Kloven and Josh Ahern are best friends from Texas. Tanner, 26, is a pharmaceutical sales rep, while Josh, 28, is a medical device salesman. Both agree that their stubbornness could be a problem for them.
Logan Fazio and Chris Gordon are significant others from Florida who work together as paparazzi photographers. Logan, 36, and Chris, 46, are hoping to work out some of their relationship issues while on the show.
Ernest Phillips and Jin Lao are brothers from Boston. Ernest, 29, has several jobs to help him achieve “goals in the entertainment industry,” while Jin, 26, is a stock boy and a student. Ernest is excited to see “exotic women,” but Jin’s biggest pet peeve is that women distract his brother.
Tiffany Chantell and Krista Debono are 28-year-olds who met when they were cheerleaders for the New York Jets. Krista, a New York native, is now a speech pathologist, while Tiffany, a New Jersey resident, is a physician’s consultant.
Cindy Chac and Rick Chac are Season 27’s married team (there’s always at least one) from San Diego, California. Cindy, 36, is a dentist, while Rick, 38, is an OB/GYN. They’re using “The Amazing Race” to test their relationship and see if they’re ready to start a family.
“The Amazing Race” Season 27 premieres Friday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
